Amman, Oct. 6 (Petra) - The Amman Stock Exchange closed slightly higher on Tuesday, after the benchmark general price index edged up 0.03 percent to finish at 4,205 points.

Trading volume reached JD15 million as 9.1 million shares changed hands across 6,498 transactions.

At the sector level, industrial index led gains, rising 0.31 percent, while the services and financial benchmarks went up by 0.04 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively.

Out of 113 active companies traded, advancing shares outpaced decliners 55 to 29, while the remaining equities ended flat.
