Amman, Nov. 1 (Petra) -- Amman will host the 38th International Technical Conference and Exhibition of the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) on Nov. 3-5, sponsored by Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC). The conference opens Tuesday under the theme "Beyond Production: The Fertilizer Industry Transformation Summit." Representatives of more than 30 Arab and foreign countries will attend. Twenty-four technical experts and specialists will speak, and more than 30 exhibiting companies will take part. The exhibitors represent global firms specializing in fertilizer technology, supplies and advanced industrial solutions.
The conference convenes as the global fertilizer industry undergoes rapid change. Producers are increasingly focused on upgrading industrial processes, raising production efficiency, maximizing added value and cutting carbon emissions. They are also using technology and artificial intelligence to improve operational performance and competitiveness.
Executives, leading fertilizer companies, producers and manufacturers of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers will attend, along with experts, researchers and research and development institutions. The conference serves as an international technical platform to exchange expertise, review technical developments and discuss the industry's outlook.
The technical program includes specialized sessions on chemical catalyst technologies, process development and value chain efficiency in phosphate fertilizer production. Sessions will also cover operational efficiency and asset reliability, smart and predictive maintenance, plant rehabilitation strategies, reducing shutdown periods, and improving energy and resource efficiency.
Other sessions will examine applications of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, advanced process control systems, data integration, cybersecurity, and digital solutions that support operational and production efficiency.
The program also covers process safety management, risk assessment and management, emergency response, compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards, low-carbon processes, and carbon capture, utilization and storage applications.
Sessions will also address global fertilizer market developments, international trade trends, challenges linked to input, energy and logistics costs, sustainability requirements, and ways to strengthen industry efficiency and global competitiveness.
The accompanying exhibition will feature more than 30 companies showcasing the latest fertilizer technologies, equipment, products and production supplies, along with advanced and innovative industrial solutions. It will give participants a chance to view modern technical applications, explore cooperation and partnership opportunities, and exchange expertise.
