Aqaba, March 1 (Petra) -- Director General of the Arab Bridge Maritime Company Adnan Al-Abadleh said on Sunday the company continues to secure passenger transport between Jordan and Egypt efficiently and safely despite challenges facing the aviation sector in the region.

Al-Abadleh stressed that daily sailings remain regular on the Aqaba–Nuweiba and Aqaba–Taba routes, with full readiness to accommodate rising demand for maritime transport during the current period.

He said the company has increased the number of trips in response to growing demand following the cancelation and postponement of numerous flights, noting that Arab Bridge represents the main maritime link between Jordan and Egypt through the international Aqaba–Nuweiba route, which takes about two and a half hours, in addition to the tourist Aqaba–Taba line, which takes around 30 minutes.

Al-Abadleh said that amid the suspension, cancelation, or rerouting of flights by several airlines due to regional developments, many travelers and tourist groups were unable to complete their travel plans or return home.

He added that Arab Bridge provides a safe alternative through its regular and reliable sailings, enabling onward travel to destinations worldwide via Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and Cairo International Airport, and the company is currently able to transport Iraqi and Syrian nationals arriving from Egypt to Baghdad and Damascus through the Nuweiba–Aqaba maritime route after obtaining the necessary approvals, following the cancelation of their flight bookings.

Al-Abadleh added that passengers can book easily through accredited offices in Jordan and Egypt or via the company’s official online booking system, offering flexible travel options, the company also provides competitive fares that take current economic conditions into account, making sea travel a safe and cost-effective choice.
