HCDS, Awqaf ministry talk expanding services for disabled military personnel

Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) – Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh, met on Sunday with Director General of the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers (HCDS), Ret. Brig. Gen. Adel Shunaq, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation and coordination, in a bid to "better serve" disabled military personnel and their families.

During the meeting, the two sides went over several issues, mainly programs and services provided to this group, and matters related to Hajj and Umrah arrangements.

Talks also tackled mechanisms for enhancing mutual cooperation and coordination to facilitate these personnel's access to benefit from relevant services and programs.

Khalaileh noted the ministry's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the HCDS and supporting efforts, aimed at serving disabled servicemen and providing all possible facilitations within the ministry's jurisdiction.

In turn, Shunaq stressed the importance of the partnership with the ministry, aimed to leverage its expertise and capabilities in religious and guidance fields, which would develop services and programs offered to these personnel and their households.
