Amman, November 1 (Petra) –Under auspices of HRH Princess Dina Mired, the Ladies of Harley-Davidson, in collaboration with the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) in Jordan, concluded the "HOGtober – Pink October" initiative last Friday.
The month-long campaign, which featured various charitable activities and fundraising events, successfully raised JD15,500 to support the treatment of women diagnosed with breast cancer.
The initiative’s culminating ride saw the participation of approximately 350 motorcycles from various riding groups across Jordan. Riders, both men and women, operating a diverse range of motorcycle models, set off from the headquarters of Zain Jordan, the official sponsor of the H.O.G. group, and traveled to the Harley-Davidson premises at the "Bikers Village" on the Airport Road.
The activity was organized and supervised by the Jordanian Traffic Institute, part of the Public Security Directorate, in coordination with the H.O.G. group’s road safety team.
At the Harley-Davidson venue, the program began with speeches highlighting efforts of HRH Princess Dina Mired in fighting cancer.
The remarks underscored the Princess's pivotal role in establishing the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, citing her continued support, as well as her recognition, for the fourth consecutive year, on a global list of the most influential figures in the oncology field.
Meanwhile, the open family day welcomed over 450 visitors and participants, featuring entertainment activities for children, showcases for small-scale projects, and a bazaar.
Restaurants and food stalls contributed to the initiative by donating all their sales income, while the revenue generated from renting bazaar tables was also allocated to support the cause.
The initiative received support from key sponsors, including Zain Jordan, Bikers Village, Samsung, Capital Bank, Mercedes-Benz, The Specialty Hospital, and MedLabs, as well as other various supporting companies and organizations.
The event was organized and overseen by Rania Barakat, head of the Harley-Davidson Ladies Group in Jordan, who emphasized that the event’s success was the result of collective effort.
Concluding the event, Barakat expressed her gratitude to HRH Princess Dina Mired, the primary sponsors, official entities, media outlets, volunteers, and participants.
Barakat also extended her thanks to Nidal Mahyar, owner of Harley-Davidson Jordan, and his staff, for their efforts and support in ensuring the event’s success.
