Amman, Oct. 7 (Petra) – A Ministry of Investment delegation has concluded a promotional tour in India to lure in investment in Jordan’s textile and garment sector, with stops in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

The ministry said on Wednesday that the team, led by Ministry of Investment Secretary-General Zaher Qatarneh, met with over 20 Indian companies and held talks with sector-related institutions and organizations.

They also visited companies and factories to showcase investment opportunities and incentives available in Jordan, and to better understand the technical and operational factors companies consider when evaluating potential investment destinations.

Discussions focused on export-oriented manufacturing, upstream textile industries, and activities linked to textile value chains, with the aim of identifying investment opportunities aligned with companies’ expansion plans.

The tour was part of efforts to expand direct engagement with international companies and attract investment that could broaden Jordan’s industrial base and export activity, the ministry said.
