King visits JAF General Command, commends efforts of army, security agencies in protecting Jordan

Amman, March 8 (Petra) –His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the General Command of the JAF on Sunday, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

During a meeting with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, His Majesty was briefed on the level of readiness of the various branches of the armed forces.

The King commended the efforts of the JAF and security agencies in protecting Jordan and its citizens, as well as the high state of readiness of the armed forces to respond to current regional developments and counter any threats or attempts to undermine Jordan’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

His Majesty affirmed that Jordan is secure and will remain so thanks to the efforts of the armed forces and security agencies who defend the Kingdom and its skies and borders, highlighting that Jordan is fully prepared to take all measures to ensure its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens.

The King was also briefed on the comprehensive modernisation plans being developed by the JAF, which will enhance their capacities to perform their national duties in protecting Jordan’s borders and maintaining its security and stability at the highest levels.
