Amman, Oct. 29 (Petra)– Brazilian football star Ronaldinho arrived in Jordan on Thursday to attend DF UNCAGED Fight Night. The mixed martial arts event takes place at Amman's Roman Theatre on Friday and closes Jordan MMA Week.
Ronaldinho had announced the visit in a video on his Instagram account, saying he was excited to meet his fans in Jordan.
He won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and the Ballon d'Or in 2005.
The program for the week's guests includes visits to tourist and archaeological sites across Jordan, which the event's media coverage is meant to showcase. Other guests attending Fight Night include former world boxing champion Mike Tyson, Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan, and social media star Hasbulla Magomedov.
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board initiated the championship as part of their work to develop sports tourism events.
The week is organized by Makana 360 and Jordan Combat Consulting, overseen by the Jordan MMA Federation, with support from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board.
