Irbid, Feb. 17 (Petra) – Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court and head of the committee overseeing the implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s initiatives, Yousef Issawi, on Tuesday conducted an extensive field inspection of Royal Initiative projects in Irbid Governorate, carried out pursuant to Royal directives issued during His Majesty’s meetings with local residents.

The tour began in the Northern Mazar District, where Issawi reviewed Deir Yousef Park, a community-based recreational project established to enhance public amenities and expand accessible green spaces.

Issawi inspected the park’s facilities, which include a five-a-side football field, child-safe sand and rubber playgrounds, landscaped areas, pedestrian walkways, seating zones, and integrated service facilities.

He received a detailed briefing on the park’s operational model, maintenance framework, and service provision mechanisms. Issawi underscored that Royal directives prioritize institutionalized management, sustainability, and operational efficiency to ensure continuity of services and maximize socio-economic returns. He said Royal Initiatives are anchored in long-term impact, not solely infrastructure delivery, but also effective governance and citizen satisfaction. The park was officially inaugurated on May 17, 2024.

In Deir Yousef, Issawi also inspected housing units allocated to low-income families under previous Royal Initiatives. He reviewed living conditions, assessed service adequacy, and examined ongoing support mechanisms to ensure beneficiaries’ needs are met.

In Taybeh, he checked on the progress of a project to construct 15 housing units for low-income families, part of a Royal program to deliver 1,300 housing units across governorates and rural areas.

Issawi was briefed on implementation progress. The project, executed using prefabricated constructions to accelerate delivery and optimize cost-efficiency, has reached approximately 70 percent completion. He stressed strict adherence to approved technical specifications, quality control standards, and the implementation timeline to ensure timely completion and improved living standards for beneficiary families.

In the Houfa area of Wastiya District, Issawi inspected progress on the Houfa Basic Mixed School project, launched under Royal directives to expand educational infrastructure in underserved areas.

The project, currently 65 percent complete, comprises 16 classrooms, two kindergarten rooms, a science laboratory, an administrative wing, a multipurpose theater building, a library, an archive, a podcasting room, two learning resource centers, a playground, and comprehensive service facilities.

Issawi said sustained field monitoring of Royal Initiative projects is essential to ensure implementation in line with the highest engineering and operational standards, within the designated timeframe, and to strengthen service delivery and development outcomes for local communities.
