Government Communication Minister Calls for Unified Arab Front Against Disinformation

Amman, Nov. 4 (Petra) - Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani participated in the 56th Ordinary Session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers on Wednesday, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

Momani called for treating media as a strategic and sovereign sector for safeguarding public awareness against disinformation and fake news campaigns.

He discussed the urgency of adapting to rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital media, calling for upgraded Arab media capabilities and voicing Jordan's commitment to sharing expertise to support regional media collaboration.

He added that the Palestinian cause remains the "top priority" of joint Arab action, pointing to the media's role in documenting facts, exposing violations, and defending Palestinian rights.
