Institute of Banking Studies, GIZ Discuss Future Cooperation in FinTech Training

Amman, May 14 (Petra) -- The Institute of Banking Studies - Jordan discussed with a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Jordan ways to strengthen cooperation and explore future partnership opportunities in capacity building and the development of the financial and banking sector.

During the meeting, Director General of the institute Riyad Hindawi said the Jordan FinTech Academy represents one of the institute’s leading national initiatives aimed at preparing specialized talent capable of keeping pace with rapid developments in financial technology and enhancing the readiness of financial institutions to meet the requirements of the digital economy.

He said the academy provides a modern learning and training environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application through specialized programs in FinTech, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital payments, and digital banking services, helping prepare qualified professionals to meet local and regional market needs.

Hindawi added that the academy seeks to build an integrated innovation system by linking the financial sector with academic institutions, entrepreneurs, and startups to support the development of innovative financial solutions that enhance financial inclusion and improve services provided to individuals and businesses.

He noted that the institute, through the academy, focuses on empowering Jordanian youth and opening new opportunities in future jobs related to the digital financial sector, while supporting employees in banks and financial institutions through continuous professional development programs aligned with international best practices.

The visit also included a tour of the institute’s smart training halls, finTech lab, and other facilities, where the delegation reviewed the advanced technologies and infrastructure used by the academy to support training and innovation.
