Beirut, Nov. 2 (Petra)-- The southern Lebanese town of Haddatha, in the Bint Jbeil district, came under Israeli artillery shelling on Monday, coinciding with a major explosion carried out by the Israeli army in the town of Bani Hayyan, in the Marjayoun district, and intensive low-altitude Israeli aircraft overflights above the city of Tyre and surrounding villages, a Lebanese security source said.
The source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that Israeli forces had also conducted a sweep with machine guns from the town of Khiam towards the Nabaa Ibl area in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli patrol stopped two men from the towns of Marjayoun and Qlayaa and questioned them for about half an hour before releasing them, the source added.
