Occupied Jerusalem, Oct. 27 (Petra) -- The Israeli Central Elections Committee decided Tuesday evening not to extend voting hours at this stage, saying it would conduct a further assessment later.

Reports had indicated the committee intended to extend voting beyond 10 p.m. local time due to heavy turnout, but the committee resolved in a statement not to extend balloting after 10 p.m. Tuesday.
