Jordan Air Defense Systems Intercept and Neutralize Four Iranian Missiles

Amman, July 13, (Petra) – An official military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army announced that national air defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down four missiles that breached Jordanian airspace from Iranian territory early Monday morning.

The source explained that the interception operation was executed with high efficiency as part of operational measures to protect the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and citizens, confirming that the incident resulted in zero casualties or material damage.

The source added that Royal Engineering Corps teams handled the fallen debris across several locations in accordance with approved technical and security protocols, taking all necessary precautions to secure the sites and ensure public safety.

The military source emphasized that the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army continue to perform their duties at the highest state of readiness, monitoring various developments to counter any threat targeting the Kingdom's security or airspace.

The source stressed that any attempt to undermine state sovereignty or violate Jordanian airspace will be met with decisive force under established rules of engagement and national interests, reaffirming that the military will not hesitate to take all necessary measures to protect the homeland. Furthermore, citizens were urged to rely strictly on official sources for information and to avoid circulating unverified rumors.
