LTRC discusses implementation of "Regular Transit" project for Irbid-Zarqa route

Irbid, June 30 (Petra) -- The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC), through its regional offices in Irbid and Zarqa and in coordination with the General Union of Public Bus Owners, held a meeting on Tuesday with transport operators on the Irbid-Zarqa route to discuss the operational mechanisms for launching the new "Regular Transit" project.

According to an LTRC statement, the project aims to upgrade the efficiency of public transport operations, improve service delivery for commuters, and guarantee fixed departure and arrival schedules. Officials at the meeting emphasized the critical importance of collaborating with private operators, viewing them as key stakeholders in ensuring the successful implementation of the transit initiative.

The meeting, held at the LTRC office in Irbid, reviewed the technical and administrative requirements necessary to initiate the project. Officials also noted the feedback and recommendations raised by route operators to ensure the project meets quality standards, supports the long-term sustainability of the public transport sector, and effectively serves passenger needs.
