Sanad app qualifies for final stage of Digital@UNGA Awards 2026: Ministry

Amman, Aug. 29 (Petra) –Sanad app, the official digital gateway for public services, has qualified for the final stage of the Digital@UNGA Awards 2026, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The app ranked among the top 15 shortlisted projects in the Digital Government category, competing in a "wide-ranging" international competition that attracted nearly 1,500 entries from 146 countries worldwide.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Saturday, the Digital@UNGA Awards 2026, held during the United Nations General Assembly, highlight "outstanding" digital initiatives and solutions that contribute to leveraging technology to serve communities, develop services, and promote digital transformation.

Sanad's qualification comes in recognition of its achievements in improving access to government services digitally, facilitating transactions, and enhancing integration among government services within a more user-friendly, efficient, and reliable digital system.

Following completion of the assessment process by the judging panel, the final winners will be announced during the Digital@UNGA Awards 2026 ceremony, which is set to be held on September 21 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The ministry affirmed this qualification represents a "new" achievement in Jordan's digital transformation journey and reflects the continuous efforts of the ministry's teams and partners in developing digital government services and enhancing presence of the Jordanian experience at the international level.
