Amman, Nov. 2 (Petra) The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced that the total number of active insured individuals grew by 4.2% year-on-year by the end of October.

In a press release issued on Monday, the SSC stated that active insured workers rose to 1.713 million at the end of October, up from approximately 1.643 million during the same period last year, marking an increase of 69,560 individuals.

The corporation attributed this expansion to targeted measures aimed at broadening social protection coverage across various employment sectors and business establishments. Key initiatives included expanding digital data integration with government bodies, incorporating migrant workers, monitoring active sole proprietorships, and increasing field inspections to ensure compliance with social security registration laws.

The SSC reiterated its commitment to field inspection campaigns to verify working conditions and ensure all eligible workers are enrolled, safeguarding labor rights and strengthening legal compliance across the kingdom.
