Jordan, Czech Republic Discuss Expanding Economic, Investment Cooperation

Amman, April 20 (Petra) -- Jordan and the Czech Republic discussed ways to strengthen economic and investment ties during a meeting held at the Czech Embassy in Amman.
Czech Ambassador Andrea Kucerova met with a delegation from PBI Aqaba, led by Chief Executive Officer Adele Yan, in the presence of Deputy Head of Mission and Head of the Economic and Commercial Section Tereza Valaskova.
The discussions highlighted Aqaba’s growing role as a logistics and industrial hub serving regional and international markets, as well as the competitive advantages of Aqaba International Industrial City within the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
Both sides explored opportunities to expand cooperation and identify investment prospects, including linking Czech companies with Aqaba’s business environment and supporting the development of industrial and commercial partnerships.
The meeting also underscored the potential to leverage Czech expertise in advanced manufacturing and precision engineering, in line with efforts to attract high value-added industrial investments and strengthen competitiveness.
Participants reviewed mechanisms to advance cooperation, including facilitating engagement with Czech firms, enhancing investment promotion channels, and exploring entry into the Jordanian market through Aqaba.
Both sides stressed the importance of follow-up steps to translate discussions into tangible investment projects.
