Amman, Jan. 26 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, visited the General Command of the JAF on Monday, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

His Majesty reviewed the operational, training, and logistical activities carried out by the JAF to achieve the highest levels of preparedness.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti briefed the King, noting that the JAF has initiated the first steps to prepare a comprehensive strategy and a clear roadmap for restructuring the armed forces over the next three years, in accordance with the Royal directives, with the aim of enhancing efficiency and readiness to deal with various current and future challenges and situations.

Huneiti also emphasised the JAF’s commitment to maintaining balance between different operational environments, and integration between different branches and formations, in order to keep pace with the requirements of modern combat and unconventional warfare, and to strengthen the capabilities of the reserve forces, with a focus on modernising command, control, and communications systems.

His Majesty expressed appreciation for the efforts of the armed forces personnel, emphasising his pride in the vital role they play in safeguarding the security and stability of the Kingdom.
