Beirut, May 4 (Petra) – Two people were killed on Monday in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Shahour in southern Lebanon, a Lebanese security source said.

The source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that aircraft carried out heavy strikes on 20 southern towns and villages, as Israeli artillery targeted 18 towns in the region.

It reported heavy bombing by the Israeli army in the towns of Khiam, Shama, and Qantara.
