Amman, June 1 (Petra) -- Foreign Student Affairs Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Monday the opening of the unified admissions application process for non-Jordanians seeking to enroll in academic programs and degree levels at Jordanian public and private universities and colleges for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.
The ministry stated that applications can be submitted through the electronic unified admissions system for international students, where applicants may upload the required documents and complete the admission process online.
For public universities and colleges, the deadline for submitting applications and paying the application fee is the end of the working day on October 8, 2026. Processing and admissions procedures by the Ministry of Education or the universities will conclude by the end of business on October 22, 2026, or once all available seats are filled.
For private universities and colleges, applications and fee payments will be accepted until the end of business on October 15, 2026. Processing and admissions procedures will conclude by October 29, 2026, or when all available seats have been filled.
The ministry urged applicants to pay the JD35 application fee after completing the application and uploading the required documents through the payment methods specified in the system. Additional service charges may apply depending on the payment provider selected by the applicant. Students may select up to 10 study options within one university or across multiple universities when submitting their applications.
The ministry explained that the Ministry of Education will verify secondary school certificates through the same electronic system and either approve them, grant temporary equivalency or reject them with an explanation of any missing requirements. Universities will then issue preliminary, conditional or final admission decisions or reject applications with reasons provided.
Those interested in reviewing available programs for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year and accessing application tutorials can visit the "Study in Jordan" portal at: [https://studyinjordan.jo], which enables direct submission of applications.
The ministry stressed that admission of international students to public universities will be processed exclusively through the electronic system. Students applying to private universities may use the system or contact the universities directly without intermediaries or additional fees.
For inquiries or technical assistance, the ministry designated the following WhatsApp numbers: 00962781111185 and 00962779676691.
