35 youth engage in scout camp to trace Great Arab Revolt trail

Amman, April 8 (Petra) – Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Adwan, on Wednesday launched "Tracing Trail of Great Arab Revolt (GAR)" scout camp activities, organized by the Madaba Youth Directorate, on the occasion of Flag Day and the GAR's anniversary at the Martyr's Memorial Museum.
Adwan, in the presence of Madaba Youth Director Nimer Ghananim, noted the importance of these activities in strengthening youth national awareness and promoting allegiance values to the homeland and the Hashemite leadership.
Talking at the opening ceremony, the minister underlined the important role played by Jordan's scouting movement and its role in building the youth character, developing their leadership skills, and strengthening the system of values and teamwork.
The camp aims to track the GAR's paths, aimed to strengthen the participants' spirit of citizenship and highlight the Hashemites' role in establishing the Jordanian state.
The camp, which saw participation of 35 young men, features a scout march and a visit to the palace of the founding king in southern Ma’an city, as well as trips to the house of Sharif Hussein bin Ali and the military museum in Aqaba.
