Beirut, June 20 (Petra) – Eight people were killed on Saturday, including a Lebanese Army soldier, in new Israeli airstrikes on South Lebanon, the army said.
It said in a statement that the ongoing "brutal" attacks are a clear sign that Israel is blocking any solution to restore stability in Lebanon.
A Lebanese security source told Petra's correspondent in Beirut that four people, members of one family, were killed and three other people were wounded in an airstrike on the town of Barish. Three people also died and another was wounded in an airstrike on the town of Burj Qalawiya, it said.
The army soldier was targeted on the Kfar Rumman-Nabatieh road, said the source, adding that an Israeli drone was seen flying low over Beirut's southern suburbs.
