ACC, Czech embassy discuss investment, cooperation opportunities

Amman, June 13 (Petra) – Chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC), Khalil Haj Tawfiq, met with Czech Ambassador to Jordan, Andrea Kucherova, to discuss ways to enhance economic, trade, and investment relations between Jordan and Czech Republic and expand cooperation between the two countries' business communities.

Haj Tawfiq, during the meeting held at the chamber's headquarters and attended by board member Falah Saghir, called for building upon the distinguished bilateral relations and strengthening partnerships between the Jordanian and Czech private sectors in various economic sectors.

According to an ACC statement issued on Saturday, Haj Tawfiq stressed the importance of the Czech private sector's participation in the Jordan-EU Investment Conference, scheduled to be held ahead of the end of this year.

He said the event represents a "significant" platform for showcasing the Kingdom's investment opportunities and enhancing communication between European and Jordanian investors and companies.

He stated Jordan provides a "stable" business environment and promising opportunities in many vital sectors, making it a "suitable regional hub" for investment, business, and re-export to markets in the region.

Work is underway to organize a Jordanian-Czech Business Forum this summer, aimed to strengthening communication between the two countries' business communities and exploring opportunities for cooperation, investment, and partnership building across various economic sectors, he pointed out.

For her part, Ambassador Kucherova affirmed her country's keenness to enhance economic and investment cooperation with Jordan and encourage Czech companies to explore the opportunities available in the Jordanian market and seize the Kingdom's incentives offered to investors.

The diplomat referred to the participation of Czech companies in the Renewable Energy and Solar Power Exhibition (SONEX 2026), which will be held in Amman next Monday, with "broad" participation from local and international companies specializing in energy, sustainability, and modern industrial solutions.

She noted the exhibition provides an "important" opportunity for direct communication between the two countries' companies to explore opportunities for cooperation, investment, and technology transfer in the renewable energy, sustainability, and advanced industrial solutions sectors.

The meeting also tackled arrangements for holding Jordanian-Czech meetings scheduled to to be convened at the chamber next Wednesday, with the participation of several Czech companies specializing in renewable energy, sustainability, energy management solutions, and smart automation.

Talks aim to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership with Jordanian companies operating in these sectors.

Both sides noted the importance of these discussions in strengthening direct communication between both countries' business owners and companies, exploring opportunities for cooperation and joint investment, and building economic partnerships.

They noted this effort would contribute to increasing volume of trade and the transfer of expertise and technology between Jordan and Czech Republic.
