ACC Expands Digital Services with Second Phase Launch

Amman, Aug. 2 (Petra) -- The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) has launched the second phase of its digital transformation program, introducing four new electronic services as part of its strategy to build a fully integrated "Smart Chamber" and improve access to services for members and clients.

According to a chamber statement issued Sunday, the newly launched services include online membership registration, membership data updates, electronic membership card issuance and an advance appointment booking service. The services are available through the chamber's official website and mobile application.

ACC President Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq said the initiative reflects the board's strategy to gradually achieve comprehensive digital transformation by developing an integrated digital platform that enables members to complete transactions quickly and efficiently from any location.

He said the chamber's digital transformation strategy extends beyond converting paper-based procedures into electronic forms, focusing instead on redesigning services and improving the user experience to reduce processing time, increase operational efficiency, enhance data quality and accelerate service delivery.

Al-Haj Tawfiq said the chamber aims to enable members to complete most of their transactions electronically, with in-person visits limited to cases required under legal or regulatory frameworks.

He added that the second phase is part of a broader effort to re-engineer procedures, strengthen electronic integration with service providers, expand electronic payment options, activate notification services and modernize databases, reducing reliance on paper-based transactions.

The chamber will continue introducing additional digital services and automating more procedures in future phases in line with Jordan's national digital transformation agenda and efforts to modernize institutional services, he said.

"Our vision is to become a smart chamber in every sense of the term, where services reach members rather than requiring members to come to the chamber, with technology serving as a tool to save time and effort while enhancing service quality," Al-Haj Tawfiq said.

The chamber said the online membership registration service enables business owners to submit applications around the clock by entering their establishment's national number, completing the required information, uploading supporting documents and tracking the application electronically.

Once approved, fees can be paid through the eFAWATEERcom platform, after which the membership certificate is sent to the establishment's official email address. Applicants can also monitor the status of their requests and receive updates via SMS and email.

The membership data update service allows members to amend contact information and business addresses, upload supporting documents electronically, pay applicable fees and receive updated membership certificates by email following approval.

The electronic membership card service enables authorized representatives to submit applications, upload required documents, pay fees and monitor the status of their applications online until the card is issued.

The advance appointment booking service allows visitors to schedule appointments through the chamber's website or mobile application. Upon arrival, users can scan a QR code to confirm attendance and receive a queue number, helping organize visitor flow and reduce waiting times.

The chamber encouraged members and clients to take advantage of the new services and ensure that business information, telephone numbers and email addresses are up to date to receive notifications and benefit fully from the digital platform.

It said the launch of the second phase marks another milestone in its transition toward full digital operations and the establishment of a Smart Chamber capable of delivering faster, more efficient and user-friendly services to the business community.
