Amman, March 18 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Saeb Khraisat, met on Wednesday with Head of Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables (JEPA), Saadi Abu Hammad, to discuss the current state of local vegetable and fruit production and the needs of the local market. Held at the ministry's headquarters, this meeting was held within the framework of strengthening joint coordination and partnership with various sectors.

According to a ministry statement, the discussions reviewed quantities of vegetables and fruits sent to the local markets amidst stable prices and consistent production.

Khraisat called for continuing to monitor quantities delivered to the markets and make "appropriate" decisions to ensure a "smooth" supply. He also noted importance of ensuring delivery of products to consumers in "high quality and sufficient" quantities, especially with the advent of the Eid holiday season at "reasonable" prices that meet market needs.

In turn, Abu Hammad praised the level of joint cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, commending the policy of "continuous openness and consultation, which contribute to supporting stability of the sector and enhancing its sustainability." //Petra// AG
