Karak, Jan 4 (Petra) - Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture Mohammad Al-Hiyari inspected Sunday the impact of the recent weather system and resulting floods, which caused damage to the agricultural sector in several areas of Karak Governorate.

During the tour, accompanied by Director of the Karak Agriculture Directorate Mamoun Adaileh, Deputy Governor Rasheed Dmour, and Director of the Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi District Agriculture Directorate Murad Tarawneh, Al-Hiyari assessed the extent of losses suffered by farmers and livestock breeders due to the recent floods.

During the visit, Al-Hiyari met a citizen who lost his and his brother’s flock of sheep in the floods, expressing his sympathy and commitment to following up on the situation of those affected and supporting them during these difficult circumstances.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ministry’s secretary-general directed the preparation of a detailed technical report documenting the damage to the agricultural sector in Karak as a basis for taking necessary measures to support affected individuals and to develop appropriate plans to enhance response strategies for future emergency weather conditions.
