Amman, Nov. 13 (Petra) – The All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC), the youth arm of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, on Thursday launched its Youth Leadership Training Camps.

In a statement, the AJYC said the initiative aim to empower Jordanian youth nationwide to acquire the necessary leadership skills to "actively" develop their communities and offer practical solutions to their political, economic, and intellectual challenges.

The project is part of the AJYC's efforts to build a "conscious and educated" generation of young Jordanians to lead a "positive" change in their societies and promote national values.

Targeting Jordanian youth aged 20-30 interested in public opinion issues, the Commission noted specialized training programs would focus on developing leadership skills and networking among active youth countrywide.

Talking at the opening ceremony, AJYC Director, Abdul Rahim Zawahreh, stated the camps aim to build a generation of leaders with national awareness and practical skills to transform challenges into opportunities.

The camps, he stated, provide a "genuine space for self-discovery, refine skills and boost self-confidence as an opportunity for every young man and woman to be part of shaping the future.

Applications were sorted out by specialized committees, based on criteria for participants with community engagement and full commitment to the project's training and field phases, he pointed out.

The camps, which are implemented across the kingdom's three regions, consist of 3 days of intensive training followed by a practical phase to implement the participants' community initiatives, based on diligent action plans reflecting the needs of their local communities.
