Amman, Feb 4 (Petra) – The American Board for Innovative Training and Developing Leaders on Wednesday inaugurated its first academy in the Middle East, choosing Jordan as its official headquarters, in the presence of a group of academics, administrative leaders, and representatives of the training and development sector.

Chairman of the Supreme Board of Directors of the American Board for Innovative Training and Developing Leaders, Mohammed Aboshbaa, said the opening of the academy in Jordan marks a pivotal milestone in the institution’s regional expansion and reflects its commitment to transferring the American experience in training and professional development in line with the highest international standards. He said the programs offered aim to prepare qualified cadres capable of competing in local and global markets.

Regional Director of the American Board and Chairman of its Palestine branch, Muhannad Abu Shamma, said Jordan’s selection reflects confidence in Jordanian competencies and their ability to lead in the field of professional training. He noted that the coming phase will witness broader regional cooperation among the board’s branches to serve Arab youth and enhance their readiness for the labor market.

Agent of the American Board in Jordan, Ali Otoom, said Jordan was chosen due to its strategic location and distinguished educational environment. He said the academy will help bridge the gap between academic education and labor market requirements through applied and professionally oriented programs accredited internationally.

Chairman of the Qatar branch, Hani Fayez Hamad, stressed the importance of the American Board’s role in developing the region’s vocational training system. He said accredited professional certificates have become the option of the future in light of rapid economic and technological transformations, and that the board’s branches operate under a unified vision to achieve global-quality training.

Director of the American Board Office in Jordan, Reem Abu Alhijaa, presented an introductory overview of the academy’s vision, mission, and goals in promoting innovative professional training. She said the academy will offer specialized programs and international professional certificates that contribute to empowering individuals and raising their professional competence. She invited those interested in learning more and registering to visit the American Board’s website in Jordan.

On the sidelines of the inauguration, attendees stressed the importance of the American Board and investing in human potential, as well as signing partnerships with training institutions. They pointed to the credibility of its Jordan branch and said its importance lies in creating job opportunities and increasing income, especially as some individuals had previously been exposed to attempts by fake entities bearing the same name.

The American Board also announced the launch of a campaign to expand the number of accredited academies as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in Jordan and the region. It plans to sign a number of partnership and cooperation agreements with academies and training centers to officially accredit them within its system, ensuring unified quality standards, improving training programs, and granting internationally recognized professional certificates.

The American Board is a professional, educational, training, and consulting institution accredited in the United States. It aims to qualify competencies globally through specialized programs and international professional certificates that are officially certifiable, contributing to aligning training outcomes with labor market requirements.
