Amman, Aug. 23 (Petra) – Amman-based Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), an independent non-profit organization, presented its field achievements, international initiatives, and ongoing work in its 2025 annual report.
Highlighting 3 main pillars of APN's work: Agricultural rehabilitation, impact, and mobilization, the report showed this action has strengthened APN's position as one of the leading Arab institutions working to defend food sovereignty and protect the land, despite the escalating political and humanitarian challenges in the region.
According to the report, APN implemented several agricultural programs in Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon. In Jordan, 34,415 fruit trees were planted under the Green Caravan program, benefiting 807 farmers.
Additionally, the Economic Empowerment and Enhancement of Food and Water Security Project in the Jordan Valley was completed.
The enterprise aimed to distribute trees and seeds, rehabilitate water infrastructure, support beekeepers, and empower women through productive projects in the target areas.
Under the program, a total of approximately 269,000 trees were planted.
