Aqaba, June 24 (Petra) -- Youth centres affiliated with the Aqaba Directorate of Youth have resumed a range of training programmes and specialised workshops under initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with local and international organisations, aimed at developing young people's talents, empowering graduates and enhancing their professional and knowledge-based skills.

As part of the programme schedule, the Deeseh Youth Centre resumed its drawing training programme, which is implemented under the Ministry of Youth's sustainable and centralised programmes in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.

The programme targets 20 young participants aged between 12 and 17 and combines theoretical and practical training in visual and fine arts. Participants receive instruction in geometric perspective, proportions, light and shadow techniques, and methods of visual expression that help transform ideas into artistic works.

Meanwhile, the Quweira Girls' Youth Centre continued implementing its English language programme for job seekers under the Youth Development Project, which is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Amman.

The initiative aims to equip recent graduates and final-year students with language and professional competencies that align with labour market requirements, enhancing their competitiveness and employment prospects.

The six-month programme, delivered over six hours per week, focuses on strengthening speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, while also providing practical workplace-oriented training in CV preparation, professional communication and job interview techniques.

The programmes form part of the Ministry of Youth's broader efforts to invest in youth development, strengthen employability skills and expand opportunities for young people through targeted training and capacity-building initiatives.
