Cairo, July 29 (Petra) – Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Yamahi condemned the drone attacks targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, which he said were carried out by Iranian-backed militias.
Yamahi praised the efficiency and high level of readiness of Saudi air defences, saying they successfully intercepted and destroyed the drones before they reached their intended targets.
He described the attacks as a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the Kingdom's security and the safety of its vital oil infrastructure. He added that such attacks endanger regional and global energy security.
Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's solidarity with Saudi Arabia in preserving its security and stability, safeguarding its sovereignty and protecting its critical infrastructure.
