Amman, July 27 (Petra) – Arab states and organisations on Monday condemned drone attacks targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province and Riyadh, expressing solidarity with the Kingdom and support for measures to protect its security and sovereignty.
The Muslim World League, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) denounced the attacks, describing them as violations of international law, the UN Charter and threats to regional security and energy supplies.
They affirmed that Saudi Arabia's security and stability are closely linked to the security of the region and reiterated their support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to defend its territory and vital infrastructure.
GCC Secretary-General Jassem Budaiwi warned that the attacks represent a dangerous escalation and a threat to regional stability, while Gulf countries called for an end to actions that undermine efforts to reduce tensions.
