Arab Trainers Union, Kuwait Teachers Society Sign Cooperation Protocol

Amman, Dec 13 (Petra)- The Arab Trainers Union and the Kuwait Teachers Society on Saturday signed a cooperation protocol aimed at building a broad professional partnership in the fields of education, training, and consultancy to enhance performance quality, develop educational competencies, and support institutional integration across the Arab world.

The protocol was signed by Arab Trainers Union President Younis Khataybeh and Kuwait Teachers Society President Hamad Al-Houli, in a step both sides described as qualitative, reflecting a shared belief that elevating the status of teachers is a fundamental pillar for advancing society.

Khataybeh said the protocol represents a qualitative addition to the union’s efforts to develop the profession, opening practical pathways for exchanging expertise and accrediting Kuwaiti teachers as Arab and internationally certified trainers in accordance with approved professional frameworks, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and safeguarding the educational mission through quality standards.

He explained that the agreement provides for cooperation in implementing training courses and programs, organizing conferences, forums, and workshops, and enabling the association to activate professional and technical programs and qualifications issued by international organizations under the union’s accreditation umbrella, in line with relevant policies, regulations, and quality standards.

Khataybeh noted that the protocol includes accrediting the Kuwait Teachers Society as an active member of the union, approving training packages, learning outcomes, and certificate issuance in accordance with quality assurance regulations, accrediting the association’s trainers, nominating members for Arab excellence awards, and activating the Arab Experts Portal under approved guidelines.

He added that the agreement enhances governance and institutional excellence by involving the association in the Arab Council for Quality and Excellence Management (AFQEM), affiliated with the union, with the association’s president represented on its board, and by adopting and applying Arab quality and excellence models.

Khataybeh said the protocol serves as a launch point for expanding cooperation with similar Arab associations and unions, transforming partnerships from signed agreements into implemented programs and tangible results. He praised the role of the protocol’s accredited supervisor, Magdi Hamdan, and the efforts of the society's team in ensuring the transition from signing to implementation.

For his part, Al-Houli said the protocol marks an important milestone in developing the association’s work and expanding the reach of its services across the Arab world, establishing an institutional pathway for applying quality and excellence standards that ensures governance of initiatives and measures success by impact.

He added that applying quality and excellence standards will give the society's programs consistency and credibility, raise output levels, and enhance the impact of training in schools, institutions, and society.

Hamdan expressed pride in the trust placed in him, saying the next phase will be based on a clear implementation plan, an effective coordination committee, and regular follow-up to translate the protocol’s provisions into accredited programs, qualified trainers, and high-quality events.

The protocol comes within a broader approach aimed at strengthening the Arab training industry, linking education with quality, and entrenching professionalism and excellence, contributing to keeping the Arab teacher in a position of leadership.
