Army chief honors winners of 2026 Jordanian Nuclear Science Competition

Amman, May 7 (Petra) – Chief of the Joint Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Thursday honored principal of Martyr Faisal II College School, affiliated with Directorate of Military Education and Culture, the supervising teacher, and a number of students, in recognition of their first-place win in 2026 Nuclear Science Competition.
The competition, which was part of the National Nuclear Science Exhibition 2026, was held under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Higher Education and the Chairman of the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission.
Talking at the honoring ceremony, Huneiti said this milestone reflects the "advanced" level of military culture schools in the academic, scientific, and technical training fields, and embodies the students' competence and ability to compete and excel in national scientific forums.
He noted the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army places "great" importance on building a "qualified" generation to possess knowledge, discipline, and ability to keep pace with modern scientific and technological developments.
Huneiti commended efforts of the educational and administrative staff supervising the students, noting their role in developing the students' scientific and intellectual capabilities, and promoting values of excellence, allegiance and national responsibility.
