Army Intercepts One Iranian Missile Targeting Jordan in Past 24 Hours

Amman, April 2 (Petra) -- The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army said on Wednesday that Iran had targeted the Kingdom over the past 24 hours with one missile.
The Military Media Directorate said the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and destroyed the missile that had been heading toward a site inside the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, the Public Security Directorate spokesperson said the relevant units had handled four reports over the past 24 hours involving falling shrapnel and projectiles. The spokesperson said no injuries were recorded as a result of the incidents, although some material damage was reported.
The spokesperson renewed warnings against gathering near, approaching, or tampering with any suspicious object or shrapnel because of the danger it poses, stressing the need to follow guidance and instructions issued through official channels.
The spokesperson also urged the public to report any suspicious object to the security services through the emergency number 911, underscoring the importance of adhering to official instructions, relying on information from official sources, and refraining from spreading rumors and misleading information.
