Amman, May 17 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) closed higher Sunday, with the general price index gaining 0.79% to settle at 3,935 points.

Total turnover reached JD 15.9 million, with 6.7 million shares changing hands across 4,916 transactions.

All three sectors posted gains. Services led with a 1.83% rise, followed by financials at 0.38% and industry at 0.19%.

Of 106 traded companies, 45 closed higher and 36 declined.
