Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) -- Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD8.4 million on Sunday, as 3.5 million shares changed hands through 3,429 transactions.

The ASE general price index fell 0.13 percent to 3,986 points, against the last performance.

Of the 98 companies traded, share prices of 32 companies rose, while 33 declined, compared with their previous closing prices.

By sector, the services and financial indexes fell 0.24% and 0.09%, respectively, while the industrial index edged down 0.01%.
