Amman, Apr. 24 (Petra)-- The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on Friday stressed the need to comply with the regulations and procedures approved by Saudi authorities, emphasizing that performing Hajj without an official permit is strictly prohibited.
In a statement, the ministry said that any attempt to perform Hajj without obtaining an official permit constitutes a clear violation of the applicable regulations and carries strict penalties, including financial fines and security measures against violators.
The ministry also pointed out that entry into Mecca for the purpose of performing Hajj is prohibited under any type of visa other than an official Hajj visa, urging everyone to adhere to the instructions to avoid legal accountability.
It added that violators of Hajj regulations face fines ranging from 20,000 Saudi riyals (approximately 3,780 Jordanian dinars) to 100,000 Saudi riyals (around 18,900 Jordanian dinars), along with the deportation of infiltrators residing in the Kingdom to their home countries and the confiscation of the transportation means used.
