Irbid, July 7 (Petra) – Canadian Ambassador to Jordan Louis Martin Omes met on Tuesday with a delegation from the EXAP Center for Sustainable Development to mark the completion of local development initiatives implemented under the Cowater International Middle East Field Support Services Project in Jordan.
The meeting marked the conclusion of the project, "Improving Livelihoods for Women through Enhancing the Economic Efficiency of the Olive Sector," which brought together representatives of four local organisations to showcase their achievements and the positive impact of their development initiatives on local communities.
Participants discussed efforts to promote sustainable development and improve livelihoods through support for the olive sector.
The project sought to empower women, strengthen their economic participation, enhance value chains in the olive sector and foster effective partnerships that contribute to sustainable development in local communities.
