Amman, Jan. 27 (Petra) – Chairman of Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), Deifallah Farajat and Zuhair Khashman, Vice Chairman of the Board and CEO of Jordan Aviation Company (JAV) on Tuesday discussed aspects of joint cooperation and the key challenges facing the Kingdom's aviation sector.

During their meeting, the two sides highlighted the importance of the joint partnership with the commission, as the legislative and regulatory umbrella for aviation sector in the Kingdom, commending CARC'S role in providing technical and regulatory support to national carriers and airlines.

Reviewing the company's operational activities, the two sides said the company transported more than 300,000 passengers during 2025, which reflects the "growing confidence of passengers in the services of national carriers." The meeting also addressed the JAV's pivotal role as a "key" contributor to the national economy, highlighting its "effective" contribution to providing job opportunities for a "large"| number of Jordanians in various technical and administrative fields.

On future steps, discussions noted the company's strategy to expand its network of destinations and upgrade its fleet to keep pace with global developments in the air transport sector.

Talking at the talks, Farajat valued the JAV's role as a national institution that contributes to enhancing Jordan's position on the regional aviation map.

He also voiced the commission's commitment to overcoming obstacles facing national carriers to support their investments and ensure safety and security of civil aviation.
