Amman, March 16 (Petra) – The Civil Service Consumer Corporation and the Friends of Celiac Disease Patients Charity Association renewed the signing of a cooperation agreement to enhance collaboration between them.

Director-General of the Civil Service Consumer Corporation, Issam Al-Jarrah, said in a statement on Monday that renewing the agreement is important in providing safe food for people with wheat allergies by ensuring the availability of the essential product, gluten-free flour, in the corporation’s markets. He added that it also aims to reinforce the principle of partnership in raising awareness among staff in all branches and providing a supportive environment for people with celiac disease.

For her part, head of the association, Suheir Abdel Qader, said the Civil Service Consumer Corporation has embodied a distinguished success story as a leading national institution within the food security system. She noted that since 2016, the corporation, through its branches, has helped find solutions to provide gluten-free flour in cooperation with the association as part of its social responsibility and its sustainable developmental role in contributing to solidarity-based social and humanitarian work.

She said the agreement contributes to achieving the association’s mission of serving people with celiac disease in Jordan and spreading health awareness about the condition among workers in all branches of the Civil Service Consumer Corporation, and how to contribute to providing services to celiac disease patients.
