Coordination Meeting Held Ahead of Aqaba Sports Festival

Amman, April 22 (Petra) -- A coordination meeting was held on Wednesday at Aqaba Youth City to prepare for the fourth Aqaba Sports Festival, scheduled to take place from May 5 to 8.

The meeting was organized in cooperation between Aqaba Youth City Club and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, under the patronage of Minister of Youth Raed Adwan, and attended by Aqaba Youth City Director Ahmad Al-Hasan, along with representatives of supervisory, technical, organizational, and media committees, and supporting entities.

Participants reviewed the festival’s program and discussed coordination mechanisms between committees, as well as administrative and technical arrangements, public safety plans, and procedures for receiving participants.

Al-Hasan stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure the success of the event, noting that the festival is expected to attract around 1,500 participants. He added that the event aims to promote community participation and encourage youth engagement in sports within a positive competitive environment.

The festival will feature 18 individual and team sports across the city’s facilities, alongside new activities being introduced for the first time. Youth center members will also participate through training programs launched by the Ministry of Youth.

Participants agreed to continue preparatory meetings and distribute tasks among committees to ensure full readiness ahead of the festival.
