Bahrain, April 20 (Petra) His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, during a meeting on Monday, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination regarding regional developments.

During the meeting, held in Bahrain, the Crown Prince conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II’s regards to King Hamad who, in turn, conveyed his greetings and best wishes to His Majesty.

The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the prime minister of Bahrain, addressed the need to step up efforts to sustain the ceasefire, restore stability in the region, and contain the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

His Royal Highness commended Bahrain’s role, through its presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of April, in serving Arab causes and strengthening joint Arab action.

The Crown Prince reaffirmed Jordan’s unwavering support for Bahrain and the Gulf states, emphasising that the security of Arab Gulf states is central to the security and stability of the entire region.

For his part, King Hamad expressed pride in the distinguished relations between the two countries and their continuous growth and development, stressing his keenness to continue strengthening ties in service of mutual interests.

King Hamad expressed his appreciation of His Majesty’s efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, praising Jordan’s steadfast stance, support, and solidarity with Bahrain during the recent Iranian aggression.

The meeting was attended, on the Bahraini side, by Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Bahraini monarch’s personal representative; Lt. Gen. Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, national security adviser, commander of the Royal Guard and general secretary of the Supreme Council for Defence; and Brig. Gen.
