Amman, April 12 (Petra) -- First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House, Khamis Atieh, met on Sunday with the Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud, to discuss deepening bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation.

Atieh emphasized that the ties between Amman and Riyadh are anchored by the strategic vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He underscored the vital role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering cooperation, exchanging legislative expertise, and coordinating stances on regional issues of mutual interest.

"The ongoing cooperation across various sectors reflects the shared vision and aspirations of the peoples of both nations," Atieh said during the meeting.

For his part, the Saudi ambassador expressed pride in the brotherly relations established by the leadership of both countries. He affirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to expanding cooperation with the Jordanian parliament, particularly in the economic and investment sectors.

The ambassador added that the partnership supports the development and progress of both nations, serving as a pillar for stability and growth in the region.
