Zarqa, April 22 (Petra) -- A high-level diplomatic delegation representing several partner nations and the European Union visited the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) warehouses in Zarqa on Wednesday to review logistical preparations for a joint humanitarian convoy bound for Lebanon.

The delegation included ambassadors and diplomats from Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Romania, Portugal, Germany, Singapore, Luxembourg, Spain, the Netherlands, and the European Union. The visit focused on inspecting the integrated logistical system managed by the JHCO, which includes the reception of relief materials, smart storage and sorting processes, and the final preparation of convoys.

During the tour, officials presented the organization’s tracking systems, quality control procedures, and governance frameworks. These institutional standards are designed to ensure transparency and maximum efficiency in resource management, turning international aid into tangible humanitarian impact.

The participating diplomats praised the JHCO’s state-of-the-art readiness and its capacity to assemble large-scale humanitarian convoys within record timeframes.

Hussein al-Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, said the visit underscores the deep international partnerships Jordan has cultivated in the humanitarian sector. He noted that the kingdom has solidified its position as a reliable regional hub for managing multilateral humanitarian responses.

"The organization operates through an integrated operational system that combines field expertise with strategic planning," al-Shibli said. He added that the mission is carried out in close cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs.

Al-Shibli confirmed that the visit coincides with final preparations to launch the joint aid convoy to Lebanon, featuring contributions from 10 countries and the European Union. He described the initiative as a model of international collective action and a testament to Jordan’s ability to lead and coordinate cross-border relief efforts effectively.
