Dow, S&P 500 fall in early trade; U.S. oil steady

New York, July 20 (Petra) -- The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the largest U.S. stock market index, fell 307 points on Monday to 51,841, a decline of 0.59%.

The Nasdaq Composite slipped 12 points to 25,508, while the S&P 500 fell about 14 points to 7,443.

Meanwhile, U.S. benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was little changed at $83.12 a barrel.
