Amman, Feb 18 (Petra) - Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah on Wednesday discussed with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Jordan Shahin Shakir Oglu Abdullayev ways to enhance and develop bilateral cooperation, particularly in the education sector.

Mahafzah outlined the ministry’s development plans and programs across various aspects of the educational process, stressing the importance of the strong partnership between the two friendly countries and the continuation of coordination and collaboration.

He also highlighted bilateral ties in higher education, underscoring the need for closer coordination between Jordanian and Azerbaijani universities, especially regarding student admissions and the potential for joint academic programs, notably those aimed at strengthening Arabic language proficiency.

For his part, the Azerbaijani ambassador commended the educational ties between the two countries and praised the significant achievements of Jordan’s education system, noting its advanced standing at Arab, regional, and international levels. He affirmed his country’s commitment to further strengthening and expanding educational cooperation.
