Education Minister Visits Schools in Al-Qweismeh, Joins Students in Morning Assembly

Amman, Oct. 21 (Petra) Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah joined students at Al-Yadoudeh Secondary School for Boys for their morning assembly on Tuesday, at the start of an inspection tour of several schools under the Al-Qweismeh Directorate of Education to assess the educational environment and the progress of the learning process in the area.
The visit, accompanied by MP Ahmad Hmeisat, the ministry’s Director of Buildings and Projects Issam Abu Ahmdeh, and Director of Supplies and Procurement Afaaq Ramamneh, included stops at Petra Primary Schools I and II, Jawa Eastern Secondary School for Girls, Abdul Rahman Bin Awf Primary School for Boys, Iskan Al-Taybeh Mixed Secondary School I, Al-Juwaideh Mixed Primary Schools I and II, Al-Juwaideh Secondary School for Boys, King Abdullah II School for Excellence/Al-Muqabalein, and Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Secondary Schools for Boys I and II.
During his tour, Mahafzah observed the student parliament elections taking place across the schools, held nationwide on Tuesday, noting that these councils aim to prepare a generation of leaders capable of taking responsibility, developing communication and planning skills, managing diverse situations, and strengthening national belonging, while also raising students’ political and democratic awareness.
He toured the facilities of the schools visited and attended portions of classroom lessons, listening to students’ comments and inquiries.
Mahafzah also inspected the progress of the BTEC vocational education program workshops in vocational schools to ensure that the ministry’s provided equipment is contributing effectively to the program’s success, while listening to feedback from both students and teachers.
The minister reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to enforcing educational regulations, particularly those related to school discipline and attendance.
