Education Ministry, SPAC Discuss Recruitment Plan, Competitive Exams

Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra) - The Ministry of Education and the Service and Public Administration Commission (SPAC) discussed the recruitment plan, staffing formations, and the holding of competitive examinations for job competency assessments for the current year.
During the meeting held on Wednesday, Ministry Secretary General for Administrative and Financial Affairs Sahar Shakhatreh and SPAC Secretary General Yasser Nsour stressed the importance of concerted efforts and joint coordination to achieve the desired objectives in accordance with the highest standards.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of using facilities of the ministry’s professional development centers, spread across all governorates of the Kingdom, to conduct computerized competitive examinations under SPAC supervision.
The meeting reviewed the results of implementing the Ministry of Education’s recruitment plan for last year and the developmental measures to meet the ministry’s needs for educational staff for the 2026–2027 academic year, in line with a participatory approach and proactive planning, and in a manner that contributes to achieving relevant targets in the government’s second executive program for 2026–2029, in both its economic and administrative modernization tracks.
The meeting also examined proposed executive steps to develop the experience of applicants for Ministry of Education vacancies in all governorates when applying for competency assessment tests for available positions in a way that reduces burdens on citizens and leverages the ministry’s infrastructure to enhance spending efficiency and ensure optimal use of government resources.
In addition, discussions were held on ways to strengthen question banks linked to competency frameworks for educational positions, with the aim of developing the educational and pedagogical competency system.
